Consistent Blogging for this Mama Bear is Hard
How do moms do it? How do they blog on a regular basis? Consistent blogging for this mama bear is hard. Pretty much non-existent. I have all these ideas about blog topics. I have all these plans to blog. And then BAM, there is a butt to be wiped, a mouth to be fed, someone wants milk, another one wants water, one child just fed their entire lunch to the dogs, and now everyone is crying. As much as I love this environment of kiddo madness, it’s not exactly conducive to sitting down and sharing your thoughts.
As bloggers, well more like aspiring blogger in my case, I often question, what do people want to read? Do they even read my posts? And if they actually open the individual post, are they only looking at the pictures? Well shoot, my pictures are not that great, so did I lose them there? Honestly, what attracts readers to various blogs and how does one stand out in an enormous environment of amazing and beautiful blogs? I think the key may be simple: consistent blogging. If you built it, they will come? If I write it, they will read? Maybe. But I have to try, right?
So next my question is WHEN? When do mama bears blog? When do they find the time? Wake up before the kiddos are awake? My Aidan-bug has spidey-sense of when mom is awake and magically wakes up within 15 minutes of em stepping foot into the kitchen. At night after they go to bed? Let’s be honest, who can form a word after 16+ hours days with 3 boys under 6 years old. Not it! During baby nap times? While they are pooping? Bribe them with my phone or 15 minutes and bust out something amazing? Send them to their room to like one another? There has to be a trick and I neeeeeeeeed to know what it is!
Mommy bloggers: hats off to you! I stalk your blog posts and am in awe of how beautiful your pages are. So clean-cut, entertaining, and precise! I would never know for one hot minute that you may be behind the screen in jammies or the infamous workout clothes that haven’t seen a workout in months, with a mom bun, and probably un-brushed teeth! You are my hero! Keep up the good work. Now tell me all your secrets!
